When you plug any appliance or electrical device into this timer, the 59377 conducts electricity through it; it can also cut off the supply of electricity at certain pre-programmed times. When used regularly and properly, it can help improve the safety of all appliances around the house, because they can be timed to automatically switch off. You can also use the 59377 to turn off all the electronic devices that use electricity--even in standby mode--including cell-phone chargers, iPod docks, laser printers, and more.
User-Friendly Features for a Safe, Energy Efficient Home
Easy to set up and program, the 59377 offers the convenience of accurate, to-the-minute digital settings, a sleep countdown function (great for turning off lamps after you fall asleep), and a random setting option, which can turn lights on at unpredictable times to make your home appear occupied when it isn't. It also has a rechargeable battery backup, so you won't have to worry about losing your programmed settings in a power outage.
Eight Settings per Day
The 59377 provides eight different settings per day (or 56 per week). Two outlets let you plug in more than one appliance at a time and use the timer to control both. During daylight saving, the timer adjusts automatically. Additionally, a manual override button makes it easy to turn off a particular setting at any time without erasing the program.
